We were rushing back back to Namutoni camp to make it before the gates closed when these two bull elephants (Loxodonta africana) emerged from the dense bush. They gently strolled into the approaching night, silhouetted against the vast fiery sky. We had to stop and attempt to capture this magnificent scene.

A black-maned lion (Leo panthera) patrols his territory. This large magnificent beast is dwarfed by the vast morning sky and surging sand dunes of the Kalahari.
